STUDIO
MONIQUE MORALES

Roots & Vision
Here's the Story
A lifelong artist, Monique Morales has been drawing, creating and designing since she could hold a pencil. Growing up surrounded by craftsmanship, one grandfather a Mexican-American master woodworker and finisher, the other an upholsterer who learned the trade at a young age after moving to the main land from Puerto Rico. Monique developed a deep appreciation for detail, quality, and hands-on creation.
Her formal journey in the arts began with an undergraduate focus in fine arts and photography, including a transformative year abroad in Florence, Italy, where she studied drawing, painting, and the timeless beauty of Florentine architecture at the Accademia di Belli Arti. Monique’s love for visual storytelling naturally led her into the design world, starting as a product photographer before refining her craft at FIDM’s Interior Design Designation program.
Launching her career in San Francisco as a professional interior designer, Monique later returned to Los Angeles, contributing her vision and expertise to renowned designers like Joe Lucas and Peter Dunham. Always seeking growth and creative autonomy, she now travels throughout South America while leading Studio Monique Morales — a California-based virtual interior design company that blends her global perspective, artistic roots, and curated, high-impact design sensibility.
Monique’s approach is deeply personal, combining fine art, craftsmanship, and modern design thinking to transform spaces in ways that feel both elevated and uniquely tailored to each client.
